You Have the Power to Fulfill Your Dreams!”
― Tae Yun Kim

Our Classes are focused on improving children basic motor and listening skills, and to build the self confidence every child needs and for the adults, a way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our program enhances positive development in a fun and motivating way. In the classes your child will be exposed to positive social interaction. They will learn how to work with others and follow directions from their instructors. Our program centers around the following 8 skills:

FOCUS – This skill will help your child’s aim, listening skills and reaction skills. TEAMWORK – Teamwork is necessary for any young child to develop. CONTROL – Having control means making good decisions. BALANCE – This skill is crucial to develop at an early age. MEMORY –Developing a good memory is exercise for your child’s brain. DISCIPLINE – Our instructors use drills to help create the vision that discipline is fun and rewarding. FITNESS – It is important for children to understand the importance of being healthy and physically fit and that this helps with all other areas of life. COORDINATION – They will become better physical participants in sports and activities. Taekwondo is much more than just a fighting skill, it is a way of thought and life. We promote the 5 aims of Taekwondo – Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, Indomitable Spirit. These are the rules that we adhere to inside and outside the classroom. Taekwondo is a way of building self esteem through self defense that can benefit both children and adults.

Training includes stretching, mild running, basic movements, forms (preset sequences of moves), 3-step practice sparring, free-style self defense techniques, and special applications. The training is designed to develop the five basic components required of an accomplished martial artist: balance, accuracy, speed, power, and focus.

Our school is WTF style taekwondo and is a member of Taekwondo Canada and the NCCP (Coaching Association of Canada). Our instructors are 1st Dan or above certified Black Belts.

“The most difficult part ot traditional taekwondo is not learning the first kick or punch. It is not struggling to remember the
motions of a poomsae or becoming aquainted with Korean culture. Rather, it is taking the first step across the threshold of the dojang
door. This is where roads diverge, where choices are made that will resonate throughout a lifetime.”
